When dreaming up the book Akal Esh, Christine knew she wanted to partner with the visual creativity of her daughter in law, Lizelle Lazarus.

Lizelle created cover and section artworks for the poem bundle. She followed a process of reading the poems and allowing her hands to physically respond to the emotions stirred by the uplifting words.
